Please consider attending the Human Systems Integration Symposium (HSIS) 2007 scheduled for 19-21 March 2007 at the Lowes Annapolis Hotel. There are many joint service, academic panelists and presenters that will be covering a wide range of human system integration issues. There is also a special workshop presented by MIT and a planned tour of the USNA.

The Southern Indiana Section of the American Society of Naval Engineers in liaison with Crane Division Naval Surface Warfare Center is proud to announce the call for papers for the 2007 symposium. The theme for this year's symposium is "Engineering The Total Force For Battlespace Dominance", and it will be held November 13-15 at the Bloomington,
Indiana Convention Center. Topics for the symposium include the following:

Abstracts for candidate papers are due no later than May 15, 2007 to the following address: ASNEpapers@eggcrane.com.
The format for abstracts should be in either MS Word or Word Perfect files, no longer than 1 page in length. They must also include the following information at the top of the abstract page:
- Title of the presentation / paper
- Presenter's name
- Presenter's email address
- Presenter's phone number
For the actual symposium, you will not be required to write a paper.
Presentations will be PowerPoint briefs, approximately 20-25 minutes long.

Please mark your calendars for an exciting new ASNE Day 2007. The symposium event with the theme Fuel Tank to Target: Building the Electric Fighting Ship will be held 25-26 June 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. The annual business meetings will be held on 27 June 2007. Please try to plan to attend ASNE Day 2007 it is going to be different this year.

SNAME People-to-People Program
SNAME & People to People Ambassador Programs, an organization committed to the exchange of cultural and professional information around the world, is organizing a delegation of naval architecture, marine and ocean engineering professionals who will travel to China in July of 2007. Delegates will have the opportunity to exchange technical information with such entities as ship owning and operating companies, shipyards, academic institutions, design agencies, maritime research institutes and other professional societies and will meet with leaders in naval architecture and marine engineering.
