ASNE's Naval Engineering Career Center
ASNE has launched a new career job board from our website where you can post your resume if you are looking for a job or you can post a job opening if you are looking to fill a position. For job seekers you can post your resume anonymously, view available jobs, create a job alert account so you will be notified if posting match your criteria, and manage your own job seeker account. In your account you can create a career profile which replaces a traditional resume. You can maintain a job folder keeping track of jobs you applied for, open positions and even maintain your job search by keeping notes and even letters. There is also additional resources at your finger tips such as a career coach, ask the experts and a content library available for those who create an account.
For employers, there are many recruiting features allowing you to manage your online recruitment account. Besides the posting of jobs you will be able to recruit from other job boards across other networks. You will be able to create a company profile, upload a logo, and describe your business further that will allow candidates to learn more about your company. You will also have available a recruiting account where you can manage your efforts by annotating notes, storing candidate profiles, and keeping track of communications.
Both the job and resume postings will be free to post jobs until 15 October. After that there will be a small fee associated with the posting of positions. Anyone can go to our site and set up a free account and post any jobs that they want to list or view any resumes that are posted during this free trial period. That way, people can apply online directly to the company posting the job and the company will be able to search resumes once a resume is posted. You can also post your resume anonymously. After 15 October there will be a charge to post job opening but it will still be free to post your resume. Please encourage anyone you know to use this new site for naval engineering career opportunities. The job site is located at: http://careers.navalengineers.org/home/index.cfm?site_id=623
