MACC is BACK...and it's "All About Boats"

 

Join us on June 8-9 in Baltimore, MD for what is shaping up to be another truly outstanding Multi-Agency Craft Conference (MACC). In addition to the sold-out exhibit tent, static displays, in-water demos, and world-class technical presentations, we have three amazing panels covering USCG, DHS, and Navy small craft needs.

 

As part of MACC 2016, we’re proud to host the Coastal Social on Wednesday, June 8 from 4pm to 7pm - complete with live music, BBQ, and networking opportunities. The exhibits area and Coastal Social are free for all U.S. Government & Military from 2pm to 7pm on Wednesday. ASNE-Sika Ultimate Build-a-Boat Competition

Since 1993, ASNE-Tidewater has organized, sponsored and conducted the Quick & Dirty Boat Building Contest, now known as the ASNE-Sikaflex Challenge Ultimate Build-a-Boat Contest. ASNE supplies each two-person team with three sheets of lauan, Sikaflex-291 Marine Adhesive/Sealant, several eight-foot lengths of 1x2 and 2x2 boards, and zip ties to facilitate stitch-and-glue construction. Teams are required to provide their own tools. The Challenge requires of the teams their best design ability, building quickness and seamanship for a fun weekend.Learn more

 

Launch & Recovery Symposium

This symposium addresses the launch, recovery, and operations of manned and unmanned vehicles from marine platforms, and is quite broad to include helicopters, rotorcraft, fixed-wing aircraft, RHIBs, high-speed craft, tenders, UAVs, USVs, UUVs, etc. This year’s theme represents our increased focus on operations: "Operational Lessons Learned and Designing for Safe and Effective Operability, Regulatory Conformance, and Affordability.”
