Kathleen E. Hinton, as a distinguished, dedicated member of ASNE since 1987, has made outstanding, long-term contributions to both the National organization and the Tidewater Section through her sustained personal commitment to the goals and ideals of ASNE. She has improved the Section's operations and financial strength; enhanced the Section's objectives; and advanced the Society's professional stature through her leadership, selfless dedication and individual efforts.
Her steady upward progression to the Tidewater Section's highest office, her eager acceptance of the vice chairmanship for the 1999 Fleet Maintenance Symposium, and her demonstrated commitment as an elected member of the ASNE National Council clearly validate Ms. Hinton's exceptional performance in service to the Society. During the period from 1995 to the present, Ms. Hinton has demonstrated superb leadership skills, exceptional professional abilities, innovative thought, and unwavering implementation of creative, highly successful programs. Her tireless participation in the planning and execution of symposia and faithful recruiting of new members have greatly improved the financial affairs and strength of the entire organization.
As a distinguished and long-term dedicated member who has contributed substantially to many aspects of the Society's operations, Ms. Hinton is truly most deserving of ASNE's Frank G. Law Award for 2000.
