The American Society of Naval Engineers' Puget Sound Section invites you to attend the High Speed/High Performance Ships and Craft Symposium - Summer 2005 in Everett, Washington. The evolution of High Speed Craft technology represents a cornerstone in the transformation of the Navy's fleet into a littoral capable Navy comprised of faster, more stable, shallow draft ships. As the Navy evolves to meet the requirements of the 21st century sailor, a number of bold and innovative technologies are being introduced. The 2005 High Speed/High Performance Ship and Craft Symposium provides a venue for the key players and technology leaders to collaborate and discuss upcoming challenges. This symposium plans to show The Shape of Things to Come.

This symposium is being held in conjunction with a meeting of the National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP) Product Design and Material Technologies Panel (SP-14). The panel meeting will include a full day of technical presentations on July 21 with a focus on advanced composite material technologies and their application in the design and construction of ships and high-performance craft.
