Common Issues, Common SolutionsGovernment Industry Partnership

23 - 25 January 2006, Hilton Crystal City, Arlington, VA

MEETS 2006 will focus on current and emerging environmental challenges facing ship operators from both the commercial and government sectors. It will serve as a unique information exchange forum between these two sectors with the goal of accelerating the transition of best practices, and identifying where the gaps in technology and/or management exist. This is an outstanding opportunity to enhance your knowledge in a forum of private and public sector engineers, managers and operators from the worldwide maritime community. The symposium will deal with the environmental issues that are most important to the marine world and will further focus on solutions and best practices to promote partnership between commercial industry and government. Areas of interest include media-based issues (air and water quality), emerging technology and best management practices. The themes of MEETS 2006 are water emissions, air emissions, emerging technologies, best practices and design and construction of ships.
