Site under construction for the weekend of 10/31 - 11/3. We apologize for any inconveniences.
Welcome
In response to evolving trends, our nation’s Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard have jointly promulgated “A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower”. That strategy envisions changes in the way our Sea Services are constituted, employed and sustained and it also contemplates increased interoperability with maritime forces of other nations. ASNE Day 2009 seeks to explore how these changes and related efforts will impact naval engineering. What technical areas must be emphasized to enable and support this strategy; what are the implications for the way future naval engineers are educated and developed; and what improvements are needed in naval engineering tools and processes?
Please plan to join us 8-9 April 2009 at the Gaylord National Hotel as we discuss the issues surrounding "Naval Engineering Support of the 21st Century Maritime Strategy" and we should also explore DoD's National Defense Strategy as it applies to naval engineering.
We are current looking for authors to submit abstracts; students to submit poster proposals; exhibitors and sponsors; volunteers and others that are interested in our naval engineering community and our Nation's national defense.
Please consider joining the American Society of Naval Engineers and help advocate for naval engineering and we hope to see you at ASNE Day 2009.
