Pascagoula, Miss. - The U.S. Coast Guard's first National Security Cutter (NSC 1), USCGC Bertholf, seen here in the Northrop Grumman shipyard on Wednesday, july 26, 2006, was launched at the end of September and will be christened November 11th. The 418-foot Deepwater cutter comes equipped with a stern launch capable of carrying two small vessels and a large helicopter deck for search and rescue operations.
