The Student Papers Night. The dinner was held on 30
April 2007 at the Washington Navy Yard Catering and Conference Center where
students from the US Naval Academy presented the results of their academic
design projects. Over 30 people attended the dinner. Our
thoughts and prayers are with the entire Virginia Tech community.
The Technology Transition
Workshop.
The workshop was held 1 May 2007 at the Washington Navy Yard Catering and
Conference Center. The meeting was a great success with over 60
people attending. Mr. Mike O’Neal, SEA 06, chaired the Technical
Committee for this workshop. Special thanks go to him and his
committee. Captain Mike Good, PMS 420, PM for the LCS PM Mission
Modules, stated that he would like to do a LCS Mission Module 2 day
National Symposium this summer. This will be a good opportunity for
ASNE Flagship members to volunteers for the committee needed to put the
Symposium together.
Second Annual ASNE Golf Outing. The golf outing was held
on 2 May 2007 at Andrews AFB with 72 golfers teeing off in a shotgun start.
The weather was perfect and scores were low. Flagship plans to
hold the event again next year and would like to see more golfers to have
even more fun.
NAVY Shipbuilding Challenges. On May 22nd:2007 Ms.
Allison Stiller DASN, (Research, Development and Acquisition) Ship Programs
presented a talk on Shipbuilding Challenges at the Washington Navy Yard
Catering Center to over 50 attendees.
