Call for Papers The Human Systems Integration Symposium 2009 (HSIS2009) has extended its Call for Papers/Presentations until 31 July 2008. The symposium will be held at the Loews Annapolis Hotel on 17-19 March 2009. Call for Papers/Presentations The U.S. Department of the Navy has identified a need to recapitalize its fleet of tug and salvage ships. The Navy staff and the Navy’s Military Sealift Command believe that commercial platforms currently in design or under construction can address Navy requirements and afford the opportunity to leverage commercial technologies in hull forms, dynamic positioning systems, and tow capabilities for this future fleet. Accordingly, ASNE will host a Tug and Salvage Technology Symposium in the near future to provide a forum for discussion of available technologies. Parties interested in making a presentation or presenting a paper for this event are encouraged to send a brief message describing their intent to ASNE’s Technical Director, Dave Stevenson, at dstevenson@navalengineers.org. ASNE Day 2009 will be held on April 8-9, 2009 at the Gaylord National Hotel and has the theme of "Naval Engineering in Support of the 21st Century Maritime Strategy". Please consider developing a technical paper or presentation or other form of professional development for the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard topics of interest by 31 October 2008. CALL |
