US Navy Unmanned Maritime Systems Program Office at MACC Created by mccue@navalengineers.org on 7/9/2018 8:31:30 AM
One of the most frequent questions we are asked at ASNE is "what events are you doing that focus on unmanned or autonomous systems?" Well lucky for us, the US Navy Unmanned Maritime Systems Program Office has agreed to offer a special panel during the Multi-Agency Craft Conference (MACC) on July 18-19 at the USCG Yard. This panel will feature:
- Howard Berkof; Deputy Program Manager, PMS 406
- David Kelley; Acquisition Manager, PMS 406
- Rob Iera; UUV PAPM, PMS 406
Mr. Berkof will present an unmanned maritime systems update. Mr. Kelley is there to discuss accelerated acquisition and contracting. And Mr. Iera will brief on unmanned maritime autonomy architecture.
Additionally, MACC 2018 will feature keynotes by RADM Michael Haycock, USCG and Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, panels with experts in naval boats, craft, and launch and recovery, six boats and craft specific technical papers tracks, three launch and recovery technical paper tracks, presentation of the results of the inaugural MACC planing hull simulation grand challenge, a sold-out exhibit hall, and live in-water boat demonstrations.
