Data Visualization, Analytics and AI for Naval Applications

Overview:

Modern naval operations produce vast streams of data - from shipboard sensors to base and port power systems. Converting this information into reliable insights is essential for mission readiness, resilience, and the safe operation of critical assets.

At the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWC PD), electrical engineers and power system experts are advancing the use of Time Series Intelligence (TSI) to meet these challenges.

This session is designed for naval engineers, researchers, and defense professionals seeking to advance the use of analytics and AI to strengthen naval operations. Join us to explore how data-driven approaches can improve readiness, resilience, and decision-making at sea and ashore.

In this webinar, Dan Kearns, CTO of Falkonry, will share perspectives from ongoing collaborations with NSWC PD, discussing:

  • Current applications of TSI in naval operations
  • Problem domains where these methods are proving most effective
  • How naval engineers and the broader workforce can prepare to adopt these approaches

The session will also explore how data visualization, analytics, and AI can support the Navy by:

  • Visualize, detect, and get alerts on shipboard power issues early to prevent disruptions at sea
  • Develop valuable analytics skills tailored to naval engineering challenges
  • Ensure resilient base and port power through continuous monitoring
  • Analyze sensor streams without coding, making data accessible to engineers and operators
  • Accelerate decisions for warfighters with AI-driven insights
  • Integrate seamlessly with Navy digital infrastructure, enabling secure, scalable deployment.
