Golden Dome for America is moving fast! Golden Dome has a leader, budget is in the reconciliation bill, and both MDA and SDA are moving on acquisition by hosting industry days and making acquisition announcements.
Get up to date on all the changes by attending the Golden Dome for America Executive Order overview, a collaboration between Strategic Insight, Ltd. and the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE).
Course Description:
The Golden Dome for America Executive Order Webinar is a 2-hour virtual discussion that provides participants an overview, recent developments including the Golden Dome for America program leadership and acquisition activity by the Missile Defense Agency and the Space Development Agency.
Participants will develop a deeper understanding of the new missile defense policy announced in the Executive Order as well as associated technical challenges and technological paths to implement the order.
This professional development seminar is appropriate for the technical and engineering community, government, small businesses, managers and project managers of companies involved in missile defense, or small companies desiring to become involved in missile defense.
The seminar is structured to journey through the Executive Order, reviewing current missile threats, new policy, implementation of missile defense initiatives, integration challenges, the role of space systems, a review of potential space systems, fire control implications, command and control, and international considerations for advancing missile defense.
The seminar will use history and heritage to advance participant understanding and context, connecting previous missile defense efforts - from President Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative to more recent 'underlayer' efforts - to the Executive Order, the Missile Defense Agency's Request for Information, and the Space Development Agency's Broad Area Announcement.
This context-delivered approach discusses all the potential pieces and how they fit together, and improves the knowledge and context required to effectively engineer a complex missile defense system to meet new threat requirements in the Golden Dome for America Executive Order.
