The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) is proud to host the Technology, Systems, and Ships Symposium (TSS) and Combat Systems Symposium (CSS) on November 17–20, 2025 at George Mason University’s Van Metre Hall in Arlington, VA.
Technology, Systems, and Ships (TSS)
November 17–18, 2025
“Forged to Fight: Past, Present and Future”
The U.S. Navy’s mission is clear: maintain overwhelming superiority at sea so our sailors in harm’s way are always ready to win.
The Technology, Systems, and Ships (TSS) Symposium is a professional symposium that explores how history and innovation come together to achieve that goal. From the 100-year eras of the battleship and aircraft carrier to the fleet of tomorrow, TSS examines the enduring design, construction, and management principles that keep the Navy ahead of every adversary.
At TSS 2025, we’ll focus on ensuring those lessons aren’t relearned the hard way—by passing them on to the next generation of ship designers, builders, and engineers. Discussions will highlight how to spark innovation, drive investment and entrepreneurship, and strengthen the nation’s shipbuilding workforce.
Speakers and panels will challenge today’s thinkers to design and build warships that embody what has always defined the U.S. Navy: lethality, survivability, and lasting superiority at sea.
Combat Systems Symposium (CSS)
November 19–20, 2025
“Achieving the Lethal Battle Force for Today and Tomorrow”
Anchored in the CNO’s Navy Campaign (CNO34), CSS will focus on the engineering, integration, and sustainment needed to deliver maximum lethality, adaptability, and survivability in contested environments. Topics include artificial intelligence, robotics and autonomous systems, resilient command-and-control networks, hypersonic weapons, quantum-enabled sensing, and advanced manufacturing—as well as the process and sustainment challenges of moving these technologies to the Fleet at speed.
Together, TSSCSS 2025 creates a unique, concentrated venue for government, Navy leadership, industry, shipyards, and academia to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and accelerate solutions that advance Fleet readiness and warfighting advantage. Attendees will have opportunities to network with decision makers, contribute to technical discussions, and engage with the professionals shaping the Navy’s platforms and systems for today, tomorrow, and the future fight.
