Technology, Systems, and Ships & Combat Systems Symposium (TSSCSS) 2025
November 18–20, 2025
Van Metre Hall, George Mason University, Arlington, VA
The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) is proud to host the Technology, Systems, and Ships / Combat Systems Symposium (TSSCSS) on November 18–20, 2025 at George Mason University’s Van Metre Hall in Arlington, VA. A full day of Combat Systems Engineering (CSE) courses will be offered on November 17-18 (in-person and virtual).
Technology, Systems, and Ships (TSS)
Theme: “Forged to Fight: Past, Present and Future”
The U.S. Navy’s mission is clear: maintain overwhelming superiority at sea so our sailors in harm’s way are always ready to win. The Technology, Systems, and Ships (TSS) track explores how history and innovation come together to achieve that goal. From the 100-year eras of the battleship and aircraft carrier to the fleet of tomorrow, TSS examines the enduring design, construction, and management principles that keep the Navy ahead of every adversary.
At TSS 2025, we’ll focus on passing lessons to the next generation of ship designers, builders, and engineers—sparking innovation, driving investment and entrepreneurship, and strengthening the nation’s shipbuilding workforce.
Combat Systems Symposium (CSS)
Theme: “Achieving the Lethal Battle Force for Today and Tomorrow”
Anchored in the CNO’s Navy Campaign (CNO 34), the CSS track focuses on the engineering, integration, and sustainment needed to deliver maximum lethality, adaptability, and survivability in contested environments. Topics include artificial intelligence, robotics and autonomous systems, resilient command-and-control networks, hypersonic weapons, quantum-enabled sensing, and advanced manufacturing—as well as the process and sustainment challenges of moving these technologies to the Fleet at speed.
Together, TSSCSS 2025 delivers a joint, integrated program where government, Navy leadership, industry, shipyards, and academia exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and accelerate solutions that advance Fleet readiness and warfighting advantage. Attendees will network with decision makers, contribute to technical discussions, and engage with the professionals shaping the Navy’s platforms and systems for today, tomorrow, and the future fight.
