Naval Future Force Science and Technology Expo
ASNE is thrilled to once again co-sponsor with the Office of Naval Research (ONR) the Naval Future Force Science and Technology Expo July 20-21, 2017 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The Expo is the
premier S&T event for the Navy and Marine Corps and is held every two years. It draws several thousand attendees and is designed to support the objectives of the
Naval S&T Strategy. An updated version of the strategy will be unveiled at the event.
It will showcase some of the Navy’s and Marine Corp’s latest technologies and bring together the brightest minds from around the world to share information; discuss
research opportunities; and build partnerships between the Navy, Marine Corps, industry and academia.
Attendees will have access to senior leadership and program managers to learn how to do business with ONR. The Expo provides a forum for high-level speakers from
across the DoD and federal government to convey crucial information, opportunities and important announcements.
As in previous years, there will be one-on-one appointments, information kiosks with program officers, breakout and poster sessions, exhibits and seminars designed
to help participants learn about ONR’s mission and how to support it. To get a sense of the event, view video highlights from 2015 here.
Exhibit hall opportunities are now open! Click here to reserve your booth.
Please note: Exhibit and Sponsorship opportunities presented concurrent to the Naval Future Force S&T Expo are wholly the responsibility of ASNE and are
presented, operated and executed without endorsement, support, or other relationship to, by or for ONR, the Navy, or the Department of Defense.
Combat Systems Symposium 2016...mission complete!
Yesterday concluded another tremendous Combat Systems event at the Washington Navy Yard. This two-day event boasted 18 leading industry exhibitors, 400
registrants,16 technical poster presentations, and 40 expert presenters, panelists, and keynotes. “As a Navy Engineering community, we don’t have many
opportunities to gather with the intent to collaborate and share insights on technical challenges and solutions. ASNE’s Combat System Symposium provided the perfect
forum by which the Fleet, OPNAV, Program Offices, Warfare Centers, Academia and Industry could synchronize visions and strategy for integrated warfare systems.
Specifically, the Technical Papers ensured new technological approaches and processes were showcased by innovative thinkers. These presenters connected with the
right level of engineers, managers and senior leaders to enable effective collaboration.” - Calvin Foster, Technical Papers Chair; Engility Corporation
A highlight of Day Two was The Honorable Sean Stackley, ASN (RDA) remembering the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. He recalled WWII victory
strategies of: (1) sacrifice and courage of service members, (2) industrial base, and (3) technical superiority and discussed how they apply today.
Thank you to the committee, participants, attendees and sponsors. We’d like to send a special thanks to our Platinum Sponsors: DRS Technologies, Lockheed Martin, and SAIC.
