Abstract: Terahertz (THz) Imaging is a non-destructive testing and evaluation technology that allows you to ''see" inside or through many solid objects to detect defects in target structures or mate- rial. The technology uses frequencies between the microwave and infrared bands in the electromagnetic spectrum and is considered biologically safe, unlike X-rays. The beams cannot penetrate through metal but are absorbed by water. Currently, THz technology is used for security screening at airports, medical, imaging, drug, biological, chemical weapons classification and non-invasive failure analysis.
